Pend d'Oreille Bay Trail

The Pend d’Oreille Bay Trail is a beautiful, lakefront trail that recently opened in 2024! The trail starts a couple blocks north of City Beach and goes for 1.5 miles all the way to Ponderay. It is perfect for a walk or bike ride from downtown Sandpoint, along a very flat and wooded track right along the lake with expansive views east to the Cabinet Mountains. In winter, the trail makes a fine cross-country ski or snowshoe.
