Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguious
The rise of smartphones, social media, and artificial intelligence hinders young men’s development and ability to harness uniquely human gifts. Modern distractions threaten to burden them with anxiety and serve as a crutch, hobbling this generation's innate ability to excel.
The Into the Breach Leadership program equips young men to harness their imagination, intuition, emotions, and common sense, to strengthen their primal intelligence. Our leadership program prepares youth to be leaders of character, able to harness discipline and innovate creative solutions in the VUCA world they are inheriting.
Why Take This Course?

Build Courage
To "step into the breach" means to take courageous action during a critical moment of need or crisis, often at personal risk, to fill a gap or tackle a pressing challenge. When a defensive wall was breached during a siege, soldiers of courage would step into the gap to repel attackers and protect their people. Great leaders rise to the occasion, take responsibility, and lead decisively.

Manage Crisis
In addition to sharpening students’ primal intelligence, Into the Breach teaches discipleship and crisis management. Utilizing principles of discipleship modeled by Jesus, we prepare student leaders to identify and manage mental and moral dilemmas effectively.

Remove Distractions
On our 170-acre campus in North Idaho, free from distractions, students are both academically and operationally educated. Principles taught by seasoned professors in the classroom sessions are put to the test in field-training exercises designed to build mental and physical rigor. Students are guided by our staff of former special operations warriors-SEALs, Green Berets, Pararescuemen, CIA Global Response Staff, Delta and others who will challenge the mind and the body. Our cadre are committed to raising up the next generation of young men by passing on their hard-learned virtues of courage, resilience, and faith.

Out Think
We teach from a curriculum forged from hard lessons where success translates to tomorrow. Our program is developed in a collaboration with the US Special Forces. The core of our leadership program is taught to classes as diverse as the Army Command and General Staff College, as well as third graders. The program proves that innate human skills outperform artificial intelligence, leading to breakthrough moments that logic cannot predict.

Into The Breach Leadership
The Into the Breach Leadership Program animates the lessons of classical education, using the pillars of critical thinking, decision-making, and respect for knowledge as our foundation. We train student leaders to tap into the deep reserves of their imagination, forging new paths in the spirit of Shakespeare, Beethoven, and Newton. Developing tools to meet new challenges, develop solid plans, and execute effectively, even in chaos.
“Creative thinking makes you adaptive, resilient, unpredictable, So that even when you’re surprised, you’re prepared. Even in chaos, you advance with purpose. Even in calamity, you win”
– Dr. Angus Fletcher

Boulder Creek Campus
Nestled among three mountain ranges, our campus offers a challenging and inspiring learning experience that solidifies classroom lessons in tangible ways. Relocating to this remote setting places all students on equal footing, turning the familiar into the unknown—where to sleep, eat, learn, and explore. This psychologically primes them to bond with new individuals and groups, preparing their minds for change. Such an experience cannot be replicated virtually or through less immersive means.
The campus presents obstacles and scenarios that simulate a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment, compelling students to innovate and lead to overcome them.
This remarkable setting fosters reflection, allowing students to weave together the narratives of their past, present, and future as they chart a journey of purpose.
